Welcome back everyone!
This new setting of FF7:LOG will be a few months after the events of Crisis Core, just at the beginning of the Original FF7 Game. Although linear to the true canon storyline of FF7 there are a few minor differences the major being that Sephiroth did not go to Nibelheim, JENOVA was the cause of all the strife and was responsible for burning it down. There is a new Story reference thread that is mandatory to read before creating or implementing characters.
The proving ground All newly created character profiles must be placed here for review and consideration by staff. Once approved they will be marked and replaced into the active board above.
Forgotten City Sometimes referred to as "the Ancient City," "the Forgotten Capital" or "the City of the Ancients." The city was the capital of the Cetra civilization, exhibiting such unusual structures as homes made from giant helical shells. A shrine exists hidden beneath the city, surrounded by water like a small isle. The Forgotten City is now overrun with the White Trees from The Sleeping Forest nearby. The trees oddly glow on the darkest of nights. They hold a magical purpose still unknown to many today. Beyond that is a large dark lake, reaching out for miles and miles.
The Sleeping Forest A curious forest whose unique trees glow with a unearthly pale light, contrasting the etehreal darkness the forests sleeps in. It is said only one who possess the Earth Harp may pass without risk of becoming lost forever within.

Icicle Inn Aerith Gainsborough's birthplace. For a time, Professor Gast and Ifalna, an Ancient, lived in the town before being hunted down and killed by Hojo and his men. The town functions as a resort because it snows year-round. The constant cold temperatures are not due to the location of the town, despite its polar position, but are actually because of the town's proximity to the Northern Crater, where the Planet channels a large amount of Spirit Energy in an effort to heal itself.
Northern Crater A massive crater caused by 'The Calamity' over two thousand years ago. The crater houses ancient creatures called W.E.A.P.O.N.S, creatures summoned by the life stream to clense all life from the planet, in order to start fresh.
Rumor has it that bits of the Calamity still remain in the crater and are highly sought after by Shinra.
Costa Del Sol A coastal resort town that also serves as the main port on the western continent. The buildings are all red tiled with yellow washed walls. Very spanish in architecture.
Nibelheim Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart's hometown. The Shinra Mansion located here was the research site for the Jenova Project, and, although since abandoned, still contains much of Professor Gast and Hojo's research. Its basement, accessible by a secret passageway, contains the laboratory and research library. Presumably after Gast left the Jenova Project, it was used by Hojo to conduct many of his immoral experiments. Moderators: Sephiroth, Zack Fair

North Corel The remains of Coral, and it's survivors after Shinra's assault on the town. What was once an industrious and thriving community is now reduced to a shanty village.
Gold Saucer A towering amusement park built on Corel's ruins, financed and operated by Shinra. There are many shows going on all the time, and the Park also holds a Battle Arena and even Chocobo Racing!
Many of the rides here are cheap but be prepared to pay a hefty entrance fee!
Cosmo Canyon Red XIII's birth place. It is a pilgrimage site for those who have an interest in the Study of Planet Life. Bugenhagen's observatory is here. The settlement on the canyon powers itself without mako reactors through the use of windmills.
The entire area gives off a red aura almost, making the Canyon seem alot hotter than it actually is.
Ancient Forest A forest so primeval that it trancended time. rarely travered by humans it is home to a questionable number of primordial hazards. It is rumored a hidden power sleeps within.

Gongaga Zack's hometown, A small country town marked by a nearby mako reactor. The reactor was destroyed by means under investgation by Shinra, claiming the lives of several innocents. The people who live here lead simple lives, but the younger generation tend to leave the village in search of adventure.
Kalm A germanic-style town northeast of Midgar, outside the wasteland surrounding it. It is primarily populated by former workers of the nearby Mythril Mine, which is no longer in service due to the appearance of monsters in the area. The town's residents are divided on the subject of Shinra and the use of mako. Kalm gets its energy from a direct feed from the Midgar reactors.
Junon The second-largest city in Gaia, Junon sits along the west coast of the eastern continent. The surrounding terrain and ocean have become polluted due to continued operation of the city's undersea mako reactor. As a result, the fish in the adjacent sea have died out and the original village of Junon (located under the upper city's airport) is inhabited mostly by impoverished citizens. The upper city is the location of Shinra's military headquarters, featuring an airport, submarine docks, and a powerful artillery cannon known as the Junon Cannon.
Midgar The largest and most industrialized city in the world, where Shinra is based. It sits in the middle of a large plain on the eastern continent. The area around the city has become distorted and polluted as a result of the use of mako reactors, and ultimately, the Mako Bomb. The city is divided into eight numbered sectors. Each sector has two areas: one at ground level and one elevated section on a plate fifty meters above the ground. The upper plate is supported by a main column in the center of the city and an additional support column located in each sector. The upper city is primarily home to upper class citizens, while the lower portions consist of slums and lower class settlements. The lower class part of the city is also home to seedier establishments such as a brothel. The city is powered by eight mako reactors, one in each sector. There is also Reactor 0, which the other eight reactors get their energy from.
Fort Condor A mountain-based fortress belonging to a rebel faction located on the lower east side of the eastern continent. The fort is named for the massive breed of condor that resides there. The mountain and the surrounding area have become polluted due to the use of a now-derelict mako reactor above the fortress. On top of the reactor sits a condor nest.
Chocobo Billy's Farm a well known farm owned by the one and only Chocobo Billy. Here on the outskirts of the Zolom Swamp one can learn all there is to know about the Chocobo and their breeding.

Temple of the Ancients A large structure into which the Ancients transformed the Black Materia to prevent its use. Whoever wishes to turn the building back into the Black Materia must sacrifice his or her life by solving a series of puzzles that shrinks the temple back to its original size, crushing whoever is inside.
Wutai A country occupying a large island off the western-most continent, although the name is primarily used to refer to the only known settlement on the island. Yuffie Kisaragi is the princess of Wutai. Yuffie's father, Godo, led the city in a struggle for dominance against Shinra but lost.
Wutai is apparently based upon pre-modern Japan and China, utilizing familiar motifs such as a pagoda (where Godo resides), and a large statue called "Da Chao," bearing the appearance of what appears to be Buddha and other related figures. Wutai is also the name of a sacred mountain in China, thereby adding to the oriental feel of the region.
Mideel A small wooden town consisting of lodges and huts right in the center of a large forest on the island. In the center of the town is a raging river, with two rope bridges connecting the North part of town to the South.
Banora Once a small settlement founded due to the Banora White Trees. "Dumbapples" as they came to be called were the towns cheif source of income and attraction. Though several years ago Shinra had called an air strike destroying the town due to an invasion. Now, In its ashes a few civilians have made a return hoping to salvage the native trees and restart their lives.
